NEWS FLASH: You've been neglecting someone very important person in your life.
It's okay, its actually much more common than you think.
The problem lies in perception and a mass misconception that holds a majority of us back. We tend to think of the concept of "winner" in terms of circumstance or context. For instance, the person who came in first place in a contest is the "winner". Therefore, a "winner" must be someone who has recently excelled at some sort of contest.

This is fundamentally incorrect.
Being a winner has little to do with what place you come in. Being a winner means losing continuously, but persisting until you excel.
A winner doesn't see in "wins" and "losses". A winner sees every part of their journey, whether it be a mountain or a easy pass, as an equal part. When all of the parts fit together, the winners goal is realized. Therefore, the winner presses on throughout all of the necessary steps to reach their goal without paying heed to hardship or boundaries.

Therefore ... There is a winner INSIDE OF YOU!
The problem is you've just been looking at it incorrectly. You've been taught that the winners are the top of the class, and the rest are just destined for average. When you begin to rid yourself of these imaginary boundaries, your world begins to open up. Is it so odd to think that someone who graduated with an "average" GPA might be more successful than someone who graduated at the top of their class in the same university? I'm sure, statistically speaking, that this happens more often than not.
In fact, it sounds odd to think that level of success is directly proportional to some set of data such as IQ or GPA. The world is adorn with examples of successful people who didn't even graduate college (Steve Jobs and Richard Branson to name two).
SO STOP!
Stop thinking that being a "winner" has to mean literally winning some sort of contest or competition.
There is a winner inside of you.
The winner is the mindset that says "keep going" when everyone else says "stop".
The winner is the utter disregard for the concept of "total failure"; knowing that failure is just a fleeting condition on the road to success.
The winner is the spirit that pulls you out of bed when you haven't slept, or back into the ring when you've been beat up.
The winner is your mentality. At the end of the day, its always 98% attitude. Successful people share the same core attitudes: an incredibly amount of confidence and a winning mentality.
